Mission

Granville Academy prepares students to understand and prepare to work in the global marketplace as it is today, and as it is evolving here and around the world. Experience proves that students learn more about the workings of the economic system; the more likely they are to become productive citizens in their communities. According, the mission of Granville Academy is three fold: 1) to help youth enter and succeed in the global market-driven economy, 2) to provide a foundation for their continued growth and world citizens, and 3) to instill in them a giving-back spirit focused on helping others and communities around the world.

Granville Academy is a non-profit after-school coaching and counseling program designed to give inner city youth an introductory knowledge of business and industry, including an understanding of the language, foundation and environment of the free enterprise system.

Objective

Granville Academy program is to primarily educate and mentor iinner-city youth in grades 5 through 12 with fundamental skills in business, finance, science and engineering. By gaining these skills, students will be better equipped to overcome barriers and assimilate into the economic mainstream. It is intended that our students share their knowledge with others and ultimately help build strong and economically viable inner-city communities based on free enterprise.

The outcome of the Program is to develop core values and four attributes in the Granville Academy Graduate:
  • Vision of the future
  • Problem Solving
  • Effective Communication
  • Empowerment
