Program Management Assistant

Role: The Program Management Assistant serves to assist the president in the overall planning, development, implementation, and management of program activities.

Organizational Status: Reports directly to Granville Academy of Waterbury, Inc. president

Skill sets: Ability to conduct meetings, good communication, writing, computer, and people skills

Approximate hours per month: 10hrs

Volunteer Management Assistant

Role: The Volunteer Management Assistant serves to assist the president in creating descriptions of volunteer work needed, and recruiting volunteers to include interviewing, conducting a background check, and verifying references to fill available positions. Also to ensure adequate training is provided for volunteers and responsibilities, rules and regulations are explained.

Organizational Status: Reports directly to the Granville Academy of Waterbury, Inc. president

Skill sets: Ability to network, good communication, writing and people skills, and knowledge of computer application programs.

Approximate hours per month 10hrs

Secretarial Administrative Assistant

 

Role: The Secretarial Administrative Assistant serves to assist the president with the clerical functions associated with managing the organization.

Organizational Status: Reports directly to the Granville Academy of Waterbury, Inc. president

Skill set: Excellent typing and communication skills, knowledge of computer application programs, and use of the internet.

Approximate hours per month: 8 hrs

 

Special Event Assistant

 

Role: The Special Events Assistant serves to assist the president in planning special events and projects intended to support the mission of Granville and enhance the learning experience of students.

 

Organization Status: Reports directly to the Granville Academy of Waterbury, Inc. president

Skill sets: Prior experience in planning group activities and projects, good communication and writing skills.

Approximate hours per month: 8 hrs

Director of Media & Public Relation

Role: The Director of Media & Public Relations serves to promote GAW’s programs to the general public through the news media, face book, GAW website, and special publications

Organizational Status: Reports directly to the Granville Academy of Waterbury, Inc. president

Skill sets: Excellent writing skills, knowledge of computer application programs

Approximate hours per month: 6hrs

 

Director of Grants

 

Role: The Director of Grants serves to identify and prepare applications for available grants that help to support the organization’s various programs and activities.

 

Organizational status: Reports directly to the Granville Academy of Waterbury, Inc. president.

Skill sets: Excellent writing and communication skills, ability to prepare budgets, knowledge of computer application programs and the internet.

Approximate hours per month: Varies

Parent Association Coordinator

Role: The Parents Association Coordinator serves to coordinate activities involving parents and guardians to include workshops, speakers, fund raising events, scholarships, career counseling, and chaperoning on trips.

Organizational status: Reports directly to the Granville Academy of Waterbury, Inc. president

Skill sets: Good people and communication skills, ability to organize and delegate

Approximate hours per month: 10 hrs

Program Coordinator

Role: The Program Coordinator serves to coordinate the pre-planning of activities for the program- year and volunteers assigned to a Granville Academy of Waterbury, Inc. program, and prepare a final report on outcomes achieves at the end of the program-year.

Organizational status: Reports directly to Granville Academy of Waterbury, Inc. president

Skill set: Good mentoring, communication, and management skills, knowledge of computer program applications & Internet skills, team player

Approximate hour per month: 18 hrs

Phase Leader

Role: The Phase Leader serves to coordinate the learning experience of high school students in accordance with designated subjects and activities.

Organizational status: Reports directly to the Upper Academy Coordinator

Skill sets: Mentoring and communication skills, knowledge of designated subject(s), team player, Knowledge of computer application programs

Approximate hours per month: 10 hrs

Group Leader

Role: The Group Leader serves to facilitate the learning experience of middle school students by using a variety of instructional approaches and prepared curricula.

Organizational status: Reports directly to Middle Academy Coordinator

Skill set: Mentoring and communication skills

Approximate hour per month: 10hrs

Group Leader Assistant

Role: The Group leader Assistant serves to assist the Group Leader in facilitating the learning experience of middle school students by using a variety of instructional approaches and prepared curricula.

Organizational status: Reports directly to the Group Leader

Skill sets: Mentoring and communication skills

Approximate hour per month: 10 hrs
