Students Experience at the new Connecticut Science Museum. Sponsored by Leever Foundation.
The summer program includes classroom instruction, professional lectures, hands-on workshops, field trips and recreational activities such as tennis. Granville Academy volunteers work closely with students engaging them in meaningful discussions involving recent current events. Also includes are tennis lessons to promote exercise and chess instructions to help students improve their ability to concentrate and think critically.
Reasoning Minds: Reasoning Mind’s mission is to provide a first-rate math education for every child. To achieve this, they offer an engaging online community that develops students’ math knowledge and thinking skills.
Chess and Tennis Programs: These sports have allowed the students to learn new skills. Chess requires strategy and tennis requires both individual strength and the ability to work with a partner. These classes are held on Chase Collegiate’s campus. College students who are Granville Alumni and understand these two activities volunteer at Granville to teach the students these skills.
